HOW TO ACT FOR A'TAKA

HOW TO AUDITION FOR A'TAKA

Film your audition ON CAMERA, on a smartphone/camera. Make sure that your audio is good quality.

Your audition can be done in one of two ways: by reading our pre-written segments (linked below), or by reading from a film or TV show you admire. Either is welcome. However, if you choose your own, be sure that it’s in the acting style listed.

After your audition, we also want to get to know you more. Spend 30 seconds to a minute talking about one of your favorite movies and why you like it, OR one of your least favorite, and why you despise it!

As we touched on in the video, we want you to act as if this is a live action movie. Use tools like your physicality to aid your voice.

Allow yourself to introduce subtlety into your performance. Maintain your range as an actor but act naturalistically, as if what you're saying is happening for real.

Even though this is set in a fantasy world, filled with magic and beauty, it’s not fantasy to the people living in it.

Think of movies like Spider-Man: Into The Spider Verse. The acting, while filled with character, still feels totally real.

Help us bring authenticity to this world by giving it reality. For more on the world of A’Taka, click the button below.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR AUDITION

WHAT THEN?

Based on your audition submission, me (Jack) and my casting director (Edison) will listen through and if we believe you could be a good fit for one of the parts, we'll reach out to you for a follow-up audition.

If you don't hear anything back within a few weeks, it means that you haven't been selected to move forward with us at this time. That said-- we listen to and appreciate EVERY audition, and are so grateful to have you take the time to submit.
